Special Lecture by “Blue Chefs Chihuahua” from Mexico — Now Available on Video!

We are excited to share a new video featuring a special lecture hosted by the Mexican chef group “Blue Chefs Chihuahua”, along with reflections from participating students.

During the session, students explored traditional Mexican cooking techniques and seasonings that they rarely have the opportunity to experience in Japan. Through hands-on practice—such as making tortillas from corn—they gained firsthand insight into the challenges of handling unfamiliar ingredients and the creativity involved in adapting flavors.

Beyond cooking techniques, the lecture also introduced the cultural, historical, and regional background of Mexican cuisine. Students reflected passionately on how they hope to apply what they learned to their future careers—and even to personal dreams such as contributing to community initiatives like children’s cafeterias.
